League City Police Department held the 8th Annual Saul Balderas Golf Tournament to benefit D.A.R.E. on August 27th, 2007. The tournament was held at the South Shore Harbour Country Club. The golf tournament is the only fundraiser for the D.A.R.E. Program and Community Outreach. The money is used to enhance the D.A.R.E. Program by making it possible to provide awards and prizes for D.A.R.E. graduation, summer camps, Halloween Safety, and Cops n Kids.
League City Police Department strongly supports D.A.R.E. Officers Reagan Peña and John Griffith’s efforts to instill good decision-making skills, self-esteem, and resistance to peer pressure and violence in our community’s children by teaching in each of the elementary schools. Community Outreach Officer Christy Galyean continues to reflect League City’s commitment to the children by rewarding their good choices with educational outings and providing positive role models for them.
