| D.A.R.E. OFFICER JOHN L. GRIFFITH Officer Griffith has been with the League City Police Department since 1992. In 1996, he was transferred to the Criminal Investigations Division and worked as an Investigator and Crime Prevention Officer. In 1997, he became the first Community Outreach Officer, handling all crime prevention and community service programs within the police department. In 2000, Officer Griffith was trained as a D.A.R.E. and began teaching in League City Elementary Schools. In 2003, he became the Training Coordinator for the League City Police Department handling firearms and educational training within the department while still teaching D.A.R.E. PERSONAL
