CCHS PALS Award

The League City Police Department Dare Program presented the Clear Creek High School PAL students with an award of appreciation. The PAL (Peer Assistance and Leadership) students are positive role models in our community that spend time counseling and tutoring peers and volunteering for community service projects. For the past several years, The PAL students have volunteered as positive role models to fifth grade Dare students. PAL students talk to the Dare students about peer pressure and making good choices in intermediate and high school. Some fifth grade students believe that most intermediate and high school students smoke, drink and use dangerous drugs. PALs explain to fifth graders that the number of students making such dangerous decisions is low. PALs also make the point that if students stay involved in positive activities and surround themselves with positive friends, the peer pressure will be reduced significantly.
